There are few places in America where one will find such a great selection of brand-new custom designed homes that seem to fit seamlessly into the natural landscape. Tucson is one of these special places. One of the first things that people may notice about the custom homes in Tucson is the different style of architecture utilized in many of them. There is a distinct use of modern style and open floor plans, as well as a more natural and earthy color scheme. These homes seem to blend right into the wonderfully scenic desert surroundings and seen to simply be a part of the natural landscape. This is a very different kind of place, where life is more laid back and homes are designed with not just utility but style in mind.
Tucson is really an oasis in the middle of the desert. Once thought to be an inhospitable area due to the lack of moisture and heat, the Tucson area has become one of the nation’s more active luxury and custom home markets. Tucson and the surrounding areas such as the Oro Valley and the Catalina Foothills are home to some of the most interesting and detailed homes in Arizona. Arizona in general has been constantly gaining popularity both as a destination and as a highly sought-after place to live. The amazing weather throughout the year have made this state one of the most “moved-to” states in the county and a favorite for retirees.
Homes in Arizona have also been known to hold their value amazingly well. This is a great place to invest in as real estate continues to get more and more popular and in-demand. This is largely due to the ability of the Tucson area to offer great sporting events and facilities that are of course, open year-round. This is a fantastic place to be if your are into golf as Tucson has numerous amazing professional level courses and plays host to PGA tour events every year. This in addition to the numerous other sporting facilities that are operated both by the city and on a private basis make for an area that is dedicated to outdoor recreation and a highly desirable place to live.

Help answer the question about custom homes
custom super homes, what kind of MLM is this? is it a real product?I see that on BBB.com it comes up as not so good but is the house they build affordable and of good quality? Has anyone ever seen one? How old is the first "super home" they built and how is it holding up? Any other opinions?

Call the dealer who sells them and ask for names of people he has sold them to. You may not find a Buckeye owner. That's a model. You would get opinion on quality, maintenance, warranties, etc. from any Palm Harbor owner.
Are you a certified contractor?? as well as Carpenter?? Are you talking physically building? or Selling ?
Check with your local building commissioner! As to what Qualifing factors you need to build homes as they very from State to State!!
Really can't make the question that simple
Sorry
Very complex
There are a number of people who build in equestrian communities. For the most part, custom home builders are small companies that only do a few homes each year. A few larger builders have done tracts oriented toward horse people, but those are few and far between, and are the same people who build golf communities, lake communities, etc. As a recent graduate, your best course is to try to get into a homebuilding company to learn the business, then branch out into specialized construction.
we don'y get cnnn here
This site http://homebuying.about.com/cs/modulareducation/a/modularhomes.htm explains the difference between modular homes, mobile (manufactured) homes and site built homes.
Modular homes are a little less expensive because suppliers deliver all of the materials to one site (factory). There are no costly building delays due to weather. And they are built to the same standards as site built homes. I think they look more like a site built home than a manufactured home.
For the most part, it is considerably lower than a conventionally built home. There is a reason their price is attractive, and it ain't magic. Check everything out before making a decision.
Don Davis built custom homes in the 1950s? That's 58 years ago.
Just how long do you think this guy planned to work?
Assuming he was in his 30's in the 1950's (because he was established, man), he'd be pushing 90 now.
Better check the local cemeteries.
You definitely want to make sure that the contractor is licensed and bonded. This will save you in case he decides to dip before the jobs done. Experience is always a plus. I would try to contact some of his customers and see how satisfied they were.
Cost and time are always important. If getting paid by the hour, I know a lot of guys that will try to drag a project out so that they continue to have work.
I would also do some investigating on the subcontractors that the builder uses (for example the people that do the concrete, electrical, plumbing…)
The rest of the things I would be concerned about really come during the building stages. Just watching them to make sure that they dont cut corners and use really cheap materials. It helps to know a little about construction industry otherwise you really would know what to look for if they were giving you the short stick.
Make sure that you fully read the contract and understand it before signing it.
A friend of mine bought one of their homes in TX. He was happy with them and didn't have any quality or construction issues.
You could try local art galleries, schools with art departments, or even ceramic studios.
