There are many places to live in Texas, which is the largest state in the entire United States. You can choose to live in the northern agricultural region, along the Mexican border, or bordering the Gulf of Mexico. With all of these choices and more open to you, it can be hard to decide where in Texas to call home, however one of the beautiful places that calls to many people each year is the Galveston Bay area. This beautiful region includes plenty of cities and towns, is close to Houston, and has plenty of beautiful places to live in harmony with nature, one of which is the lovely Clear Lake.
If you wish to live on the water, then Clear Lake is a great place to live. If you wish to live in luxury along the shores of Clear Lake, then Edgewater, a new community in Galveston County, is the perfect place for you. This small community, which is just beginning to emerge along the shores of Clear Lake, is being created with luxury, convenience, and the pleasures of the beautiful Clear Lake waterway firmly in mind.
Edgewater is a master-planned community in the region right between Galveston and Clear Lake, and is shaping up to the one of the best Galveston County neighborhoods for any kind of person or family. The beautiful community has been carefully plotted and planned, and offers everything from custom homes in the Clear Lake area to townhomes in the town center. There are over 350 plots for both single family homes and custom single family homes all over the community, which takes up a 538 acre plot in the heart of the city of Webster, Texas.
Many of the custom homes in the Clear Lake area come with the option of a private boat dock along the canals in the area to allow you the choice of private docking for your boat, but there are other options if you prefer. You can always choose to pull your boat out of the water at the docks or dock it at Edgewater Marina. If you choose to spend your time at the Marina, you will be greeted with the pleasures of the private club house as well, allowing you to spend time with your neighbors in a community setting or take a dip in the community pool. When you’re ready to get back on the water, head out onto Clear Lake or out into Galveston Bay and spend a beautiful day on the water.
When it comes to custom homes in the Clear Lake area, there is simply no competition for the homes available to you in Edgewater. You will fall in love with the styles and options available to you, just as you will delight in the English Regency style of architecture that truly ties the community together visually and the beautiful landscaping. The landscaping of Edgewater is designed in a way that will transform the entire community into one big garden to delight in from the homes to the town center for you to enjoy.
The town center is another part of Edgewater that makes it an ideal place to choose for your custom home in the Clear Lake area. In addition to the townhomes and luxury apartments that will be erected in the town center for those that prefer that kind of lifestyle, there are also plans for a collection of shops, restaurants, and other entertainments to turn a small town center into a thriving commercial district. You will be able to walk from your home to the town center and spend a day shopping, meeting with friends, or even working in a location that is incredibly convenient to your custom home.
When you are ready to get back to nature, you will not have to retreat far. Take one of the many nature trails that run through the community for a nice hike to really get your soul soaring, and your heart pumping. These trails all lead back to the 35 acre nature reserve that runs along Clear Creek, making it easy to spend hours getting back in touch with the wilds of Texas before returning home again relaxed and refreshed.
For custom homes in the Clear Lake area, there is simply no way to beat the Edgewater community of Webster, Texas.

Call the dealer who sells them and ask for names of people he has sold them to. You may not find a Buckeye owner. That's a model. You would get opinion on quality, maintenance, warranties, etc. from any Palm Harbor owner.
Are you a certified contractor?? as well as Carpenter?? Are you talking physically building? or Selling ?
Check with your local building commissioner! As to what Qualifing factors you need to build homes as they very from State to State!!
There are a number of people who build in equestrian communities. For the most part, custom home builders are small companies that only do a few homes each year. A few larger builders have done tracts oriented toward horse people, but those are few and far between, and are the same people who build golf communities, lake communities, etc. As a recent graduate, your best course is to try to get into a homebuilding company to learn the business, then branch out into specialized construction.
This site http://homebuying.about.com/cs/modulareducation/a/modularhomes.htm explains the difference between modular homes, mobile (manufactured) homes and site built homes.
Modular homes are a little less expensive because suppliers deliver all of the materials to one site (factory). There are no costly building delays due to weather. And they are built to the same standards as site built homes. I think they look more like a site built home than a manufactured home.
Don Davis built custom homes in the 1950s? That's 58 years ago.
Just how long do you think this guy planned to work?
Assuming he was in his 30's in the 1950's (because he was established, man), he'd be pushing 90 now.
Better check the local cemeteries.
For the most part, it is considerably lower than a conventionally built home. There is a reason their price is attractive, and it ain't magic. Check everything out before making a decision.
You could try local art galleries, schools with art departments, or even ceramic studios.

You definitely want to make sure that the contractor is licensed and bonded. This will save you in case he decides to dip before the jobs done. Experience is always a plus. I would try to contact some of his customers and see how satisfied they were.
Cost and time are always important. If getting paid by the hour, I know a lot of guys that will try to drag a project out so that they continue to have work.
I would also do some investigating on the subcontractors that the builder uses (for example the people that do the concrete, electrical, plumbing…)
The rest of the things I would be concerned about really come during the building stages. Just watching them to make sure that they dont cut corners and use really cheap materials. It helps to know a little about construction industry otherwise you really would know what to look for if they were giving you the short stick.
Make sure that you fully read the contract and understand it before signing it.
A friend of mine bought one of their homes in TX. He was happy with them and didn't have any quality or construction issues.
i doubt it is the real deal
